Our cartooning classes are designed with the student's needs in mind. Since 1991, our goal has been to place you, the customer, first and foremost in everything we do.
CARICATURES
From the start, JUST in JEST, Inc. has endeavored to approach caricature entertainment and caricatures from photos in a unique fashion. Rather than grossly exaggerating the features of the individual, as the textbook definition of "caricature" implies, we take the more sensitive (and sensible) approach. Every effort is made to simply render the real features of the subject in a cartoon way. We take great pride in the often-heard response to our work: "It looks jest like 'em!
Sometimes, caricatures, per se, are not needed by the client as much as a cartoon illustration of a particular character, object, or scene. In this, also, JUST in JEST excels. Whether the artwork is for a logo, advertisement or an important presentation, we can customize it to meet your expectations: "It's jest what you're lookin' for!"
If your son or daughter has shown an interest in drawing and/or cartooning, and would like to further his/her expression of an artistic talent, we're here to help him/her along! We have Intro, The Comic Strip, Comic Book Art, etc.! Sir Rich's Drawbridge Academy: for a creative outlet, "It's jest the thing!"
President/Owner
RICH PARSONS, owner and president of JUST in JEST, Inc. and Director of SIR RICH'S DRAWBRIDGE ACADEMY is a 1983 graduate of Framingham State College with a B.A. in Art.
He was awarded First Prize in the 1996 Massachusetts Press Association's Annual Newspaper Contest for Editorial Cartooning in the weekly WELLESLEY TOWNSMAN.
Rich's interest in cartooning began at an early age and continued throughout his college years. At Framingham State while cartoon editor of the FSC newspaper, he compiled a collection of cartoons entitled, THESE FOUR YEARS: THE FSC EXPERIENCE.
“JUST in JEST” CARICATURES opened in Natick, MA, in 1991. Warmly welcomed by the general public, JUST in JEST grew quickly. The company incorporated in 1997, and settled into a storefront castle motif studio in November of that year.
Located in beautiful and historic south Natick, JUST in JEST, Inc. Cartooning Castle promises customers, “we’ll take you out of the Dark Ages, and draw a smile…out of YOU!”
